The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce honored local businesses and organizations that contributed to public education in the 2014-2015 school year with the Annual Partners In Education (PIE) Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center on September 3.
This year’s theme was “Small Things Make a Difference!”
PIE works to unite CMCSS schools with local businesses and organizations for community benefit, integrating the ideas and energy of young people with the knowledge and experience of the business and civic community. A CMCSS PIE is an official documented partnership between a high school career academy, an individual school, entire district or STEM program and a community business seeking to make a long-term partnership commitment. Community partner contributions can include monetary contributions, in-kind support, training and professional development related to specific topics and volunteer support.
