For 35 years, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and Education Foundation have held true to a tradition of recognizing the academic excellence of CMCSS high school students.
To receive the academic achievement award, a student must maintain a 93 grade average with no grade lower than 85 in any one subject. This academic criteria has remained the same since the inception of the program. Students who are first or second-year recipients are honored at school assemblies in the spring, and third-year recipients are invited to be recognized at a Foundation and community-sponsored banquet with their parents.
